There’s nothing quite like reconnecting with friends over a good meal and a few beers. You really need a spot with a relaxed atmosphere and a flexible menu to make friends’ night a success. City Works, a sports bar and pub in Schaumburg, fits the bill perfectly.
About City Works
City Works just opened in late 2018, and the place is already a favorite for casual dinners and hangouts with friends. The giant HGTVs make it easy to keep up with the game, and the large dining room is perfect for bigger groups.
If you’re visiting later at night and just want a few snacks, you can sit at the spacious bar. The restaurant does a great job with staffing, so service is always fast and friendly.
The food at City Works is best described as classic American with a modern twist. They offer a great selection of appetizers for sharing, like the pretzel bites that come with an IPA gouda dipping sauce. The popcorn chicken is another favorite!
City Works offers a selection of burgers, made with fresh brisket and short rib meat and served on brioche buns. The Scorpion Burger, topped with habanero pepper jack, jalapenos, five pepper jelly, arugula, tomatoes, and scorpion pepper aioli, is a great choice if you like spicy foods. The short rib tacos are also popular.
City Works welcomes vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diners, too! The cauliflower steak is a delicious vegan and gluten-free choice.
Don’t forget to order a pint with your meal! City Works has more than 90 craft beers on tap at any time. Whether you’re a fan of IPAs or are a dedicated dark beer drinker, you’ll find something you love here. If you’re not sure what you want, order a flight and try samples of a few different brews. The beer list is conveniently displayed on a huge wall so you can browse selections as you eat and talk.
