Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor. It all began in 1971 when Lou and his wife established their first restaurant in Lincolnwood where people lined the streets on opening day to taste his deep-dish creation.
Today, you’ll find locations throughout Chicagoland, and every pizza is handmade using the finest ingredients. The waitstaff treats everyone like family, and deep dish options include cheese, sausage, and pepperoni.
It was about 200 years ago when Mama Giordano made her double crusted, cheese stuffed pizza for special occasions. Her creation was well liked in her small northern Italian town, and after members of her family immigrated to Chicago, they opened the first Giordano’s in 1974.
The restaurant has also been recognized by numerous publications such as Home & Garden Magazine and The New York Times. It offers a modern atmosphere with exposed brick and unique light fixtures.
Deep dish choices include bratwurst, supper veggie, and Chicago classic.
This eatery has been a local tradition since 1956. It was established by childhood friends Michael Caringella and Armand Christopher, and after a coin toss, they decided on the name Armand’s Victory Tap.
Years later, the restaurant became known as Armand’s Pizzeria, and since opening, it has served millions of pizzas. The service is always attentive, and guests can enjoy a leisurely meal with family and friends in the casual dining room.
